Win 8 laptop crashes every now and then

as suggested uninstalled the avast and installed the kaspersky internet security 2013,,,,laptop worked fine in morning but just crashed while shutting down...uploading the dump file..

heh heh, yeah Kaspersky, but never any suite packages is a basic rule. There are exceptions such as Zone Alarm + Antivirus. (It has Kaspersky av built in.) That's good stuff.

X64_0x9F_3_Rt630x64_IMAGE_pci.sys

Your network driver bugged out. The new Kaspersky you installed did it.

Only install anti-virus from them or as said, look to ZA+Antivirus if you really want a package instead.

The Realtek driver is good from July 30, 2012, but if there actually is an update, those are always good too.

Still blames the Realtek drivers. Please run Driver Verifier again to see if we can force another crash that might help name the offending driver. Should Driver Verifier not give up that info, then I'd have to figure that the ethernet card is having problems.

The test for that is to uninstall the drivers for the ethernet card and disable it in the BIOS. If the BIOS doesn't have a setting for this, then you'll have to disable it in Device Manager (after uninstalling the driver).

Did you disable the network card in the BIOS or in Device Manager? The memory dump still lists the network driver - which means that the driver is still loading.

Try uninstalling Kaspersky (just a hunch) - make sure to enable Windows Defender (in the Action Center in the System Notification Area (down by the time in the lower right corner of the Desktop)). Also make sure that the Windows Firewall is turned on (using Control Panel).
