Win 7 Games to Win 8

Recently got win 8 pro 64bit
searched for solutions to get win 7 games into win 8 (freecell chess titans etc)
found a lot of old posts but the solutions don't seem to work today.
I tried the free metro apps but would prefer the desktop stuff.
Any ideas?

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games copy the contents to the Windows 8 computer.

Or live with the metro versions

Download WinRAR, use to extract files to folder on desktop, then proceed with game install...

I mostly use WinRAR and I uploaded the file to Mega, because it has a good download-speed for free-user's.
