Why do games crash?

Hello, I am playing a first person shooter, Crimecraft, and basically when I die in battle right before the respawn loads the game crashes randomly at some point. My computer far surpasses the minimum spec's required and the graphics really are not all that good in the game itself, nothing too spectacular.

Now when looking for solutions to this problem I find that there are way too many possibilities and not enough ways to tests these things. Its kind of like saying what's wrong with your car and saying it's the engine. In other words people trying to give help are saying it could be anything in your computer or the game itself.

If you check your graphics card, not overheating and the game runs smoothly, check the ram memtest nothing, do clean startup no programs interfering, what's left? Well maybe the game itself, uninstall/reinstall still the same problem. What is left to try? All these posts on forums for pc games crashing have 10+ pages with all of them ending in "my game is still crashing plz help".

So my question is why would a game crash while loading on a new computer?

It has something to do with loading the game. Example, I use to mod Skyrim and if I used to many mods the game would begin to briefly not respond when loading. I use windowed mode for all my game and basically the whole frame becomes unresponsive for a short time, then eventually load. This is my problem with the game i'm playing now.

The game doesn't not crash when at a loading screen but becomes unresponsive for a short time, though the game does crash in battle after I die before a respawn loads. This all has to be narrowed down which is why I posted earlier that the link you gave has way too many possibilities. I mean come on look at that list in the link, that's basically saying any part of my computer hardware or software could be bad, i'd be better off taking my computer to a shop before going thought that list.

What settings are you running your games at? Rather than spend money at a computer shop you should invest in a better video card.

The only reason a game won't respond is because your CPU is processing data quicker than what it's built to do. When your game crashes before you respawn, it means that the CPU doesn't respond to the game itself. If you lower the settings of the game, then it should run faster for you and reduce the risk of crashing. Just a helpful tip for you

I can hardly see that processor bottlenecking to the point of crashing the game.
