Store and backup files on the net? I did this through what's called web hosting going back a decade ago...remember angelfire?

Wave 4, 5 is referring to using Office Apps through Windows Live - Hotmail.

I don't know why, but web-based office suites just never caught on with me I prefer the kind I can install to my computer.

I'm still trying to get my hands on 2010, and before we know it there'll be Office 2011.

I really love that Microsoft is letting us; the users, test software for them and let us their customers give our input.

You can trial 2010, the install is a click of a button when you open up one of the apps under File. But i think they removed it after you download it.

I use it all the time. Free 25 GB of space for moving my files around, plus a web interface for Office files makes a lot of my college work easier, particularly with the Intro to Programming class I'm in.

You should show me around sometime. I'm slowly but surely moving everything to web based processing. That is, over the network in a network storage device via mapped network drive and then cloud storage as well.

The Sims 2 over network was interesting. Surprising actually how much the game actually doesn't use the hard drives or the network for that matter. Most of all not one drop of lag.
