$50 a year is ridiculous for my uses. I don't need full Office (Word and Outlook are basically all I use), and I don't use or need cloud storage. I refuse to buy Microsoft's subscription type products. If they can't sell it to me at a one time price then I'm not buying it, as its only for my limited use (I'm retired and for personal home use only).
Of the E-mail programs I've tried, including Microsoft Live Mail, Thunderbird is winning. Thunderbird even imported all my Outlook folders and address book automatically. Everything in Microsoft Live Mail is manual, it won't automatically import (Like Outlook 2003 automatically imported my Outlook Express data when I installed Office 2003).
Your help is very much appreciated
When will Office 2014 come out ? Getting close to 2015...just wondering any plans for it.
Microsoft Office has two version numbers, one is for the suite of applications for Windows such as Office 2000, Office XP/2002, Office 2003, Office 2007, Office 2010, Office 2013. My Office for Macintosh has suite versions 2008 and 2011. Looking in the Help, About will show versions numbers for the individual applications such as the 2-digit 10, 12, 14, 15, etc., there was no 13 for a version number. Going back further Office 4.5 actually had Word 6.What happened to MS Office 10?
