Hi there
Actually NOT having a lot of updates COULD be a good thing -- might show that they really HAVE got most of the bugs out of the system.

You can always check Windows defender for Security definition updates and run that manually from the control panel. (Its GUI is almost the same as MSE is on W7).

If you are running things like MS OFFICE 2010 - you should get essentially the same set of updates as you see on W7 (if you have another computer running W7)

I think most here on this board will have at least ONE W7 available either via Dual boot etc or a separate machine or by using Virtual Machines.

So you can check to see if you are still getting the proper updates.

Cheers
jimbo

Yes. They just seem to be issuing them on "Patch Tuesdays" except for defender of course.

I got these two (64Bit) as my last.

Update for Windows 8 Consumer Preview for x64-based Systems (KB2691252)Installation date: ‎11-‎04-‎2012 17:11

But, I am not certain, that may have been after a reinstall.
However, I can see on my history I have 16 in all, for the OS alone.
