When do you think Windows 8 Beta 1 will come out?

Yeah, but what about the rumbles from Dell that they will ship a Windows8 Tablet in 1Q 2012 - unless this is a special edition of the Windows Phone7. But in order to get the ARM support, that would be a big, seperate effort.

I think it'll probably be Q1 2012. It's probably unlikely it'll be this year -- but who knows! I hope the beta comes out this year though.

Judging by the fact that 'winver' in the Win8 Dev Preview says that the OS expires on the 12th of March 2012, I think the beta will come out then.
