I have been using Windows 8 pre-release and lately it asks me for my administrative password to make software installations to my desktop PC....I used the password that I created when I installed Win 8 and it doesn't work. What is the administrative password....I only see my user account on user accounts....admin account not listed. I recently changed the email I was using for windows 8 from a verizon.net email to a hotmail email I created. I tried the hotmail password and that did not work either????????????

Is your account an administrator account type?
By default, it should be the same password that you use to sign in to that administrator account with.

I installed it from a disc I created from the iso and created a password as an adminstrator. I installed all my usual programs. I think this changed when I changed my email account from verizon.net email to my new hotmail email account. I changed because the win8 email app didn't recognize verizon.net and everything worked better with a Microsoft email account. It logged on automatically at first. When I changed emails it now has me enter my hotmail password at login. Every time I try to install a program it asks for my admin password and neither my old password or my new hotmail password work?

Using OPTION TWO in the tutorial below, double check and make sure that your hotmail Microsoft account is actually in the administrator group.
