Hi all! Yesterday I updated the Nvidia drivers and not sure if this was the culprit, but when I rebooted, it went directly into a BSOD that read something like:"Recovery-Your PC needs to be repaired-A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed-error code 0xc000000e" and sometimes made reference to "winload.exe". I tried F8 to see if I could enter Windows' startup options, but it would not show up, going directly to the BSOD. To make things worse, after creating a Recovery Drive using this method , and booting from it, I tried a Windows Repair but was unable as the following message showed up:"The drive where Windows is installed is blocked. Unlock the drive and try again".
So then I found this fix which did work! I went to Advanced options, Command Prompt and executed these commands in this order:
- bootrec /scanos
- bootrec /rebuildbcd
- bootrec /fixmbr
- bootrec /fixboot
After doing this I rebooted and voila! I was back to Windows :)
