This depends....what size (wattage) PSU do you have? The GPU your looking to upgrade to, what's the minimum wattage needed, what type and how many PCI connections does it have...eg one 6 pin, one 8 pin, dual 6 pins or dual 8 pins and does your current PSU have the available connections for the new GPU?

You can check out the Passmark benckmark scores for all 3 here:

PassMark Software - Video Card Benchmarks - High End Video Cards

The 660 ti is over 2 times faster than the 550 ti and costs over 2 times as much. So, if money is no object, and you are looking for the fastest of the three, the 660 ti is a no brainer pick IMHO. Also, as previously suggested by bassfisher6522, make sure your PSU has the proper 4, 6 or 8 pin connectors. If not, order the adapter(s) with the card. The power supply is adequate for any of these cards.

There's no need for too strong GPU with that processor, it will not be able to follow GPU and will be a bottleneck for it.

So with processor QX9650 and Asus GTX 660 Ti-DC2OG-2GD5 will it bottleneck? That card fits in my budget.

OK, I did a Passmark Benchmark Test Score Search, using your CPU, and searched for the best 3d graphics card scores. So, here they are:

You are always too kind Hopachi. Thank you again.

No really, in this specific case the 580 beat newer GPU's. :D
I wonder if something like this exists for newer GPU's matched with i7's or it always depends on the bottleneck people talk about.

Yes, the 580 did beat the newer GPUs but there are motherboard variants and possible overclocking parameters (on some) that I could not show because the screen would have been too wide. However, I can generate a full report and save it to a PDF file for anyone interested or you can download the Passmark Performance Test Software here and do it yourself. It has a free 30 day trial (fully unlocked):

Thanks for the link.

Well, in the screenshot some motherboards get better results. CPU speeds are high but with different speeds each.
The drive column is not relevant in this test but I guess the motherboard (CPU support, resources) and RAM (dual channel or not) is a bit important besides the gfx card.

Thanks again for the data and I hope it helped the op to decide on the graphics.

Just trying to give the OP more food for thought... Now, we wait for a decision; yes?
