Hi,
This may be asked and answered before but ill ask anyway. I have this user with Windows 8.0 machine, was not properly shut down.
After turning on, it says diagnosing your system repairing hard disk, it may take up to 1 hr (something like that). After all of these it says Automatic Repair Failed. So i removed the HD and plugged in to external dock to retrieve files. to my surprise, the User Profile and the user files are not there, but other profiles are there. Now the user have lost all his files.
Note: the computer is connected to domain
