USB Wireless Adaptor - Slow speeds

Hi Guys,

Having a problem with by broadband speeds. I'm using a USB wireless adaptor as my on board adaptor stopped working a while ago, Have had no issues since and getting speeds between 40-50mbps.

Last week the speed plummeted to around 3-4mbps for no real reason. I bought a new USB adaptor and still the same. I did briefly turn the on-board adaptor back on and the speeds went back up so I know it's not the broadband itself.

Any suggestions?

Are you saying that your adapter will only connect and show 3-4 mbps or is an internet speed test showing you 3-4 mbps.

If its your adapter showing that I would check the antenna's and see if they are secure

If it's a speed test showing that I would guess it's your ISP having problems

Speed test thing, I know it;s not the broadband as the on board card shows 40-50mbps. It's also a brand new adaptor.
