Solved usb 3 ports not working

recently bought a new asus desktop pc with usb 2 & usb 3 ports . the usb2 slots are all ok. just bought a sandisk 16 gb usb 3, no go in usb 3 m but works ok in usb2

Some kind of enabling the ports in BIOS maybe?Mine were disabled by default on my board when i first attached a USB 3 stick!

thank,s for trying . i had been into bios and usb were enabled so disabled them and back to enable. still no joy. thank's again

Does your Sandisk show up,while on BIOS?Tried this one as well?

sorted it last night. the usb 3 were not plugged into the m/b. never expected that with a new pc. thank's for your efforts much appreciated

proudtobegreek. yeah so simple and the funny thing is my wife said that from day 1, i dismissed it . thought it was maybe a driver or update bios i needed. now i have to grovel for a few weeks/ months lol ,,, again i thank you
