Well, WU is not really working again. WU tried to install a single update [the only one presented at the time] and ended up looping for very long time on 'downloading' and ended up simply freezing. I put the Task Scheduler task back to 'Ready'. I knew that was too good to be true. I'm off looking at other possibilities.
