My computer keeps telling me Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed), so I looked up how to fix it and they told me to uninstall it then scan for hardware changes and it will reappear working properly.:thumb: Only it did not come back working properly, it came back the same. I am also 98% sure that this "unknown USB device" is my built-in webcam that has never once worked:huh:. So if someone wants to help me out and allow me to use my webcam that would be great!:sarc:

Hi there, can you first tell us what is the Name and Model number of your system?

What OS are you running

im sorry if you already listed this, as I cannot see your specs from the Windows Forum App..

I take it this is a laptop?

Webcams are notorious with usb issues when the wrong driver is installed, replaced, or corrupt..

Please download SLIMDRIVERS FREE and scan your devices, update all drivers or at least CHIPSET, USB HOST CONTROLLERS and WEBCAM

Lets start with that...

Btw what USB. Devices do you always have connected to your laptop?

Doesn't hurt to uninstall whatever you don't recognize. Next time you plug it in it will install adain. Great tool for getting rid of old or conflicting garbage.

If you know for certain that its your webcam, then you should go to your laptop manufacturers website and download specifically the webcam driver, and make sure you download the one you have whether its x86 or 64bit and for the windows version you have...
