Unable To Add Gmail Account in Mail App in Release Preview

I am unable to Add my Gmail account in the mail app in Windows 8 Release Preview. it was working fine in Consumer Preview. It gives an error "The server did not recognize your email address or Password..blah..blah.."

Please help me out guys.

P.S.:- I am able to add my Hotmail account.

When adding google mail account have you tried doing it and not having the @gmail.com at the end.

Hi i have tried it in both ways before checking this thread, but i had no success

You could try adding it in the calendar app or messages app as they are all linked together

i used @googlemail.com even though my email address is @gmail.com

this worked and let me add my account

Hi , As you suggested I tried the following ways,
1. Tried to add my GMAIL Account from Calendar app, But can't see any option there. 2. In Mail App I can't find option to add the account.
3. In Messaging and people app, If I click on the 'Connected to' link it showing a bar on right hand side and immediately hiding it.
I have re-installed the app, but still the same issues.
Is there any other way to do so..

I couldn't find the option in mail as well which is why i used the calendar app to do it.

I found the option. When in the app you move the mouse to the bottom right corner of the screen then move it up and click on settings, then accounts and finally click add an account

Hi pancool, Hope you doing fine. I have tried this way too, but when I click the "accounts" option I am getting one side panel which has "Add Account" option, but that side menu appeared and hidden immediately. I can't make any selection on that.

For me its fine now but im not sure why it happens for you that the bit at the side just disappears when you try to do it.

Hi @ramponin Yes, I had many that you can see them on this thread , but none of them has worked for me. I made my mind, I cant sync GMAIL Account, After all I moved back to Win7 ..... But I 'd Like the Win8.

I have my Gmail synced to my Hotmail so when I added my Hotmail account I get my Gmail stuff too.
