I am trying to install 32-bit win 7 on a HP Stream c004tu that comes with a Samsung MBG4C eMmc harddrive, with win 8.1.
After clicking 'install now' I get "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a drive floppy disk, cd, dvd or usb flash drive please inset it now." I have tried various things like using Rufus, checking the md5, trying the x64 iso, disable secure boot, enable legacy, changing usb ports and checking the iso. When I do diskpart->list disk, during the installation, it says "there are no fixed disks to show".
Someone with a similar problem solved it by loading emmc drivers. Another person suggested using SATA controller drivers. Though I can't find any of these drivers. Please help!

windows 8 usually will find windows 7 hardware - not sure windows 7 will find windows 8 hardware..

Follow these instructions: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/13326-downgrade-windows-8-windows-7-a.html

Can I ask why you are installing Windows 7? Windows 8.1 is an excellent OS once you get it setup right. Basically installing Classic Shell makes it look and feel a lot like Windows 7 with the Windows 8.1 features available to play with at your leisure.

Windows 10 is being release the 29th of July which is another option instead of going back to a 6 year old OS.

Just my $.02 worth :)
