Trouble upgrading from win 8 to 8.1

[FONT=&quot]I have tried several times (approx 20) to upgrade my HP desktop from win 8 (came pre-installed) to 8.1 Everything is fine until I get to approx 72%, then the computer freezes. I've let it set, once for 48 hrs, and still nothing. Turned computer off, and back on, and it reinstalls win 8. Any help please?[/FONT]
