Transfer Favorites from IE To Another Browser?

(1) I'm running Windows 8.1 on a Dell laptop. Microsoft will cease supporting IE on 11/30/20. How do I transfer Favorites from IE to another browser?
(2) Also what browser do you recommend?

My personal choice is Firefox, but if you want to stick with Microsoft then the new Chromium based Edge is available for Windows 8.1, that's a nice browser too. You will find Edge listed as an optional update in Windows Update.



Both Edge and Firefox can import favorites directly from Internet Explorer, in fact they will offer to do so when you install them. They can also import from an html file.

IE can export favorites to an html file, open your favorites and click the down arrow to the right of the 'Add to favorites' button.
