Japanese exchange student is gone, exams have just finished, did the MENSA test last Saturday and no more school for the next 25 odd weeks!

I have a lot of catching up to do but hopefully I can get back into the swing of things soon.

I just come to a thinking why is English having so much words ended with letter Y.

Ask that question many years back. One of the answer was:"Don't ask Ms. Thatcher as she will want you to knock your head several times with a hammer until that dumb question disappear..!"

LOL, Kevin. "Why" is the one million dollar question as we refer to it here in the U.S. It can never be concretely answered. IOW, there is no absolute answer. Most children ask it. What does one tell a five-year-old? "There's no absolute answer to that, kid"?

Well Tony. I took no offence on that. Since I am aware that I shouldn't asked the question. Just a curiosity that was coming from non native English speaker. I like English though. It broadens my windows of life.

From what I understand, English is a very difficult language to learn. You write very fluently with it I must say, especially with the medical jargon in the word games. I often have to look those up.
