Text size on toolbar (not taskbar)

I am not using any 3rd party software. I am running just Windows. I understand that MS provides an option to increase the size on the toolbar. That works just fine to increase the menu size. However, it does not solve my question.

Scenario -
When I right-click on the taskbar there is an option "toolbars => new toolbar". Using it you can add a folder (for example). Now when you go to look at the folder using the toolbar the size of the drop down text is extremely small and hard to read.

Question: Is there an option inside Windows or a registry entry that can be modified to increase the size of the font?
Thanks

Is this what you are talking about?

If so, as you can see, the text is the same size as text on the Desktop.

I believe we are talking about the same thing.
As best as I can figure out the only way to change the size is to use the custom sizing option which changes the size of everything. The Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display option lets me change the size of certain items like menus and title bars but not the desktop size. It appears that 9 point Segoe UI is the default and cannot be adjusted without using the custom sizing option and setting it to 125% or 150%. This, of course, affects everything else and not always positively as some apps are not written to handle scaling. If you know of any tricks I'd be appreciative! Thanks.

Yeah, when I wrote a property page shell extension that 9 point font was so small I tried setting it to 10. Needless to say the property page became distorted and clipped. If you use a larger font size there the system becomes unusable. If you want something more customizable you might try RocketDock or 7Stacks.

Thanks. I understand it's hard to write an OS that pleases everybody but man - there are a whole bunch of us who have been using computers for 50+ years that simply can't read read the screen anymore. I really hate to have to give this stuff up. I wish MS would make things a little more customizable - not just give us a magnifying glass! Sorry - rant #75.

I know what you mean. I have a Toolbar like you are talking about with a bunch of nested folders inside. My eyesight is still pretty good. But it takes too much time a focus on those tiny fonts. Even semi-bold would help.
