Taskbar notifications taking focus away windows

So whenever I get a notification in the taskbar on the bottom right, it takes away focus away from the current active window.

I would be typing, and get a notification, then I would have to click to get focus of the window again to start typing.

Is there a way to make the notifications not do this?

This page may have a work-around. It points to a utility that denies focus change unless the mouse was moved. I do not know if the utility is in English or German. But it may be simple enough that it does not matter.
