Hi,
I'm using Windows 8 Pro N with 32-bit. I found some problem SOMETIME whenever I tried to open My Computer, it takes a very long time to show up my drives and removable disks.

Here's the screenshot of it. The Green Bars is moving damn slow, For sometime only. Besides, I also encountered problem when the folder is not responding, where can I end the task? Just like in Windows 7, I can simply end the task using task manager.

Any guides to my problem? thanks!

Hi Shawn,
Thanks for your info. As the statement said that it will work on internal HDD but not SSD. I'm working on SSD now.
the issue can occur this way, after I browse website or do something else for sometime, the moment when I go to My Computer, it can delay for a long time( doesn't happen frequently). I have to restart my laptop and it will respond normally.

Do you have any network drives or connections that it may be trying to find and connect to?

As a test, disconnect all removable drives and devices to see if it still does this.

I encountered a problem similar to this with Acronis True Image 2013 (build 5551 I think) which has been fixed in the current release (6514).

Shawn, the problem still persisted even tough the removable devices are not there.

Hmm, ok. As a test to see if the Index may be responsible, use OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to disable it for now to see if the issue persists.

Index - Enable or Disable
