How to Create a "Switcher" Shortcut in Windows 8 and 8.1

This tutorial will show you how to download and use a "Switcher" shortcut that opens directly to the Switch List bar to easily switch between opened Metro apps, Metro screens, and desktop in Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows 8.1, and Windows RT 8.1.
For how to use Switcher once opened, see:

If you run Switcher.exe from your desktop and do not have any opened Metro apps or screens opened, then the Switch List bar will not open since there's nothing opened to switch to.
If you run Switcher.exe from your Start screen, had the desktop previously opened, and do not have any opened Metro apps or screens opened, then it will open the desktop instead of the Switch List bar.

Here's How:
1. Click/tap on the Download button below to download the .zip file below.
Switcher_shortcut.zip
2. Save the .zip file to your desktop.
3. Open the .zip file, and extract (drag and drop) the Switcher.exe file to your desktop.
NOTE: This is a standalone .exe file that has a digital certificate and does not install or add anything to your computer.
4. You can now move the Switcher.exe file to where you like to use it at, then Pin to Taskbar on desktop, Pin to Start screen, add to Quick Launch, or create a shortcut from the Switcher.exe file.

If you create a shortcut from the downloaded Switcher.exe file, then you could also assign a keyboard shortcut to the created shortcut.
That's it,
Shawn
