were sorry something went wrong, your account wasn't changed to this Microsoft account.code:0xd0000225
any ideas? this is on a windows 8 32x system.

ive done the same thing with same email on my windows 8 64x laptop with no problems.

Hello brihy, and welcome to Eight Forums.

In that case, you might see if creating a new administrator local account, sign in to it, then deleting your Microsoft account may work.

Do note that a local account will not be able to use the Store, and any Metro apps that require a MS account.

Hope this helps, :)

tried that Brink but get the same error.i can use the same msn email on multiple windows 8 computers correct?i mean 1 msn email is not linked to just one windows 8 key is it?

The Windows 8 product key is only for one computer, but you can use the same Microsoft on an unlimited number of computers. The Microsoft account is designed like a roaming profile to have the account synced (if you like) on all Windows 8 PCs that have the account on it.

Does the computer you get this error on have internet access? Without internet access, it will not be able to switch.

If it does, then you might see if resetting Windows 8 may help. This way you could set up your account during the reset.

Yes. You'll just need to have the Windows 8 upgrade installation media (DVD/USB) connected to do a reset.

the reset worked, can now sign in with Microsoft account.the help was much appreciated Brink
