Hello!
I resently seen small but anoying freezes happening on my laptop. It happends rather I'm typing or gaming or watching a video.
The programs don't freeze it's a bit like if another invisible window opend up for a second and if i click i go back to the screen i was using nothing happends visually. It's starting to get really frustrating like sudden freezes and messings ups. This started only 2 weeks ago and I've never seen something like it.
Thanks!

Can you make a video of it using an Ipad or phone that has decent quality? maybe upload it to youtube and show it here what is happening?

also the most obvious thing is what do you remember installing or changing 2 weeks ago? if you can remember then..

and Also Laptops tend to overheat and throttle themselves to a lower speed and that could be the hiccup you are seeing..

what laptop exact model do you have..

Did you install new hardware or new software around the time the lagging/freezing started.

Other possibilities; damaged system files, broken hardware like memory or hddisk, virus/malware infection.

Seems this is a common problem for (lenovo) laptops and other brands.

The freezes are extremly strange imagine opening another window so the screen behind it stops working then you click on the window to continue working

I've got MSI GE70 2PE
i don't think it over heats because even with youtube it does the strange freeze its rather hard to video cause its happends randomly and you need to be gaming to see it clearly

Advanced System Care? really?

first, uninstall that iobit junk.. I'm surprised JRT didn't remove it.. ha.

Programs like that hog down your system..

open task manager and look at what is loaded in your system..

especially look at "startup"

here is mine.. for example..

Did you first uninstall both of these programs and scan with Malwarbytes Adware etc.

The lagging seems according to what i found on MSIforum possible related to that the HDD has some sort of powersaving function. And goes to sleep and needs to waken up frequently.
Try this guide to change the powersaving function How to disable power management settings in Windows | WD Support

You need to look at what you are running in the background..

Start your computer in safe mode with networking.. Then play YouTube videos and such and see if you get lag..

It's probably the throttling and programs..

Do you have speccy? Post a pic of your system

https://www.piriform.com/speccy

I mean it's like you've done no troubleshooting.. have you uninstalled Advanced System Cleaner? and then look through your startup programs in task manager like I showed?

definitely Itunes is a disaster.. it tries to update all the time and look at your firewall after itunes is installed..

but that really isn't why you experience problems man.. Itunes won't cause youtube to slow or freeze.. windows to lag etc.. it's not itunes.. but you can uninstall it.. ha..

I'm thinking its your throttling..

also do this

option 2..

what About your task manager? have you looked through your startup? and seen what your usage is in processes etc??
