Windows 8 has been having very strange rendering errors, the desktop still works fine but the rest is all strange blurred with black boxes.

I have no idea what the problem is it just suddenly showed up as that.

Edit:
System Specs are:
Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (Quad)
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670
Windows 8 64-Bit (Downloaded from DreamSpark)

I would download the latest graphic drivers from nvidia and install them, select the option to do a clean install when prompted
If you do not use 3D, disable it so it does not install,, not needed if you don't use it and can cause problems at times.

If Windows ever wants to update Graphic or Audio drivers, I always suggest no, and manually update them from the manufacturer directly. Most other drivers are fine to run from Windows updates.

try that first anyway.

NVIDIA DRIVERS 306.23WHQL

Tip: This is a bug in the Nvidia driver and happens as soon as you play around with the 3D setting. I haven't figured out which one yet. But the BETA drivers (google nvidia beta --> Nvidia advanced search --> select beta drivers) work so far even if I tweak the settings. The current beta is from 23 october.

EDIT: NVIDIA DRIVERS 310.33BETA

I just found a fix. So reinstalling the driver did the job, however, if you fiddle around with the Nvidia Control Panel settings again, you may turn on Antialiasing - FXAA. << That's the issue. I turned it on again unknowingly and it began to blur with black boxes.

Fix:
1. Go to Nvidia Control Panel
2. Manage 3D Settings
3. Turn off Antialiasing - FXAA

I only turn it on when gaming or need it. Otherwise I'd turn it off for everyday use.
Been stuck on that issue for soooo damn long, I was about to buy a new monitor!
I just had to make an account and share.
