stop macrium reflect completion squeek sound

I am trying out the free macrium reflect 7 image backup program. On completion, it plays an annoying sound, like stepping on a live mouse.

Since I am using the free version, I can't use their forum nor get any help.

I found how to stop the sound in windows 10, but not windows 8.

Anyone know how to stop that?

It's not ideal but a work around, if you are not using the program every day, could be to mute your speakers just while MR is running.

So, I guess win10 has added a way to control sounds on individual programs that use some notification service, and that isn't there in win 8.

My workaround is I changed the sound to a much less annoying one. Can't believe they don't have an option in the program to control the completion sound though.
