sound driver installed still no sound

REALTEK AC97 sound driver installed Working fine!..showing status working but no sound:cry:..after updating PC to win 8..worked well for Win 7..Need Help..:zip:

Try re-installing/searching for a newer driver. Besides using Device Manager to search, you could go to you OEM's site to see what's available driver-wise for your machine there. Turn your sound up? :D

Update firmware for sound card? You really haven't given us much to go on, including, originally, knowledge of what you had already tried.

i didnt knew bot OEM's SITE and its not driver problem all drivers installed well sound looks like working but no sound from speker or headphones..:(

right click your sound icon...click playback devices...then select your default device...eg external speakers and set as default.

Note: just my opinion, but I found that once 8 is installed and sound drivers are installed...8 natively seems to select the digital audio device as default.

right click your sound icon...click playback devices...then select your default device...eg external speakers and set as default.

Note: just my opinion, but I found that once 8 is installed and sound drivers are installed...8 natively seems to select the digital audio device as default.
my speakers are already set as default device
