Same problem as others worked in windows 7 and is found in bios but Windows 8 cannot see it.

So much for anything that worked in Windows 7 will work in 8.

Hello Phil,

The public beta release of Windows 8 will be out around February 12th. Hopefully your DVDRW will work with the newer version.

I totally agree, hopefully when the new release arrives sometime in February it will fix this issue. this is a huge problem, in my opinion, and hopefully Microsoft has addressed this seriously.
