Hi. I came here to ask some serious help about modifying some very specific things of my Windows 8.1's appearance.
First of all, I guess I should specify that I'm using a custom theme right now, it's this one, SimplexDesignsART's Windows Vista theme for Windows 8.1. I'm specifically using the Basic (Squared) version.
The thing is that at some point before using it, I messed around a bit with the values at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Colors.
So now I don't know if these small issues I'm having and that I want to fix are my fault or the theme's.
Judging by how everything works fine with the default theme, I guess it's the custom theme's though.
I'll drop a message on its DeviantArt post but I'd also like to ask for help about it over here.
To the point:
1) The letters in some parts of the OS like the personalization window are in white color.
Here's a comparison (Left: Windows 8.1's Theme, Right: Vista Basic Squared).
2) The font of some buttons like Mozilla Firefox's Clear recent history's Clear Now also have a white colored font.
Here's a comparison (Left: Windows 8.1's Theme, Right: Vista Basic Squared).
Here's a .GIF about its strange behavior.
Is there any way to fix them?
Here's a picture of my Control Panel\Colors entry and here's a picture of my Control Panel\Desktop\Colors entry.
I hope this post doesn't look/feel too bloated, but I wanted to explain myself as best as I could.
Thanks in advance for reading, everyone. Greetings from Uruguay
EDIT: I just checked because I suddenly remembered something and I had already dropped a message to him at some point of the past year. However, that issue isn't this one as I have the caption fonts disabled now.
EDIT2: Also yes, I just checked and re-enabling the caption texts doesn't solve it.
The options of the personalization window are still in white.
