Well, long story short, chrome gets wei info from windows, and it somehow can get wei in windows 8.1 - go to site about:gpu, and somewhere is a table with wei scores, at first that table was empty, but after some time of using chrome that table received wei scores. Dont know how accurate this is, but i was dissapointed - it showed much lower scores than in windows 7.

The link in the first post of this thread and below can show a few options for how to check your WEI. Option Two would let you check it in Windows 8.1 without using a program.

Replaced my A8-6600K with an AMD FX-8350 octocore, and my Radeon HD 7870 GHz edition with an R9 280X. Looks like my SSD score has dropped from 8.1 to 8.0 since March.
