I love my laptop whatever it is :)
I finally got my IC Diamond 7 Carat (Home: Innovation Cooling) and realized when I wanted to replace the Thermal Grease, that I was running my CPU for ~12 month OC'ed @4400MHz, with the protection foil still attached to the Water-Block.

However I played a bit around and got the 3770k Prime95-x64-stable (v27.9 Build-1) @4700MHz with In-place large FFTs - Settings.

I'm not sure if a Custom-Loop would be able to push things even further, but I doubt it, as I haven't Temp-Issues, but my Sys is shutting down if I go for 1.435 V VCore and doesn't run stable on a lower VCore-Voltage.

So here you go:

PS:

I would still recommend the "Diamond 7", but it's a bit harder to apply.

Fresh install? Custom rig?

Just add the two lines yourself.

Here in the zip is a reg file that does the job.

Cheers!

Good notice!

I see it.
Here I have a related problem, it says: "To be filled by O.E.M".

Sorry,
I don't know how to fix those, because:
DxDiag, System Info and WEI-sys-details seem to use different registry entries or settings files.

This is for an AMD FX-8350 on an Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0. It has a mild overclock from 4000 to 4320 MHz. The overclock improved the CPU and Memory performance from 7.9 to 8.1. However, I am suspicious about the memory rating. Without the overclock DRAM was set at 1866 MHz. Overclocked due to available ratios, DRAM now runs at 1728 MHz. i.e. SLOWER, but WEI score went up from 7.9 to 8.1! I wonder if Windows even rates them independently. They seem to go in lockstep on this setup.

The Primary HD is a Samsung 840 Pro SSD.

I am also suspicious about the desktop graphics rating. I understand the gaming graphics rating, and it appears about right compared to other boards in this thread. Again I wonder if Windows really assigns these two number independently, or if they are in lockstep too. Nothing I have done (and I don't do gaming) even starts to load the GPU. No problem loading the CPU to max on all 8 cores with photo editing though.

Upgraded from 955 BE to FX8350, memory and cpu went from 7.3 to 7.9. The performance boost feels bigger than that though.

Have you tried the one click Turbo UCC on your motherboard to provide an automatic overclock? The similar feature on my Asus board stepped performance up from 7.9 (like yours) to 8.1 on the CPU and RAM. All it changed from the default Optimized BIOS setting was the bus speed - increased from 200 to 216 MHz. The PCI bus was fixed at 100 MHz, and the RAM speed adjusted to keep it within spec. In my case from 1866 down to about 1728 MHz. All the timing settings were left on auto. And it only speeds up when necessary by automatically changing the multiplier, and essentially runs as cool and energy efficient as it did with the standard Optimized settings.
