Show us your WEI

Here's mine after a bit of tweaking and OCing. :party:

WEI.jpg

Here is mine. Not all that flash for what the machine is, but an SSD would probably help.
I do wish I could use the GeForce instead of the Intel GFX chip, but apparently not.
Yes, the drivers are the most recent.
More RAM and an SSD are planned for the next upgrade.

Here's Mine... and I DO have an SSD: SanDisk Extreme 480 GB. Drivers were updated from Toshiba just a couple of days ago with the latest W8 drivers for my machine.

W8 WEI Score.PNG

This is with 8 running under WMware Player. Didn't even realize 8's WEI score went up to 9.9

Vista = 5.9, Win 7 = 7.9, Win 8 = 9.9. Will Win 9 = 10?

Just a question that popped up, do different Windows 8 versions also give better WEI on the same system?

Correct me if I'm wrong but: I don't think so. All versions are called 6.2.9200 and they all give the same WEI.
Make sure you use the same drivers on all versions then, because newer chipset and graphics drivers will possibly change the score even on the same version.

When we'll get a patch/service pack then the version number will change (changed core components) and only then you can expect slightly changes in the WEI score (including or excluding different drivers).

Here's mine but please bear in mind that this is 32 bit Windows 8 Pro running in a BootCamp partition on a MacBook Pro Retina :D
Is that why the ram is poor scoring? It can only "see" 2.17GB of the 8GB ram :cry:

When I switched from 4GB of RAM to 6GB of RAM, my WEI didn't change, but then I applied a small overclock and it went .5 on the WEI, so I think it's the speed of the RAM, not the amount of RAM that determines the memory score...which makes sense...

Thanks! That's the Intel mobo and the Q6600 CPU that have stood the test of time! This PC is over 5 years old and is still rock solid reliable and fast enough for what I do. I'm not a gamer (obviously), so my hardware requirements aren't that stringent.

I overclocked a PIII 750Mhz up to 1Ghz (25% overclock!), way back when the PIII Tualatin chip was the hot item! Then I realized that for all of the $ spent on fans, heatsinks, coolers, etc... I could have just bought the faster chip! It was fun, though. I have never overclocked this CPU and the Intel board doesn't support. I just wanted reliable, rock-solid performance and that's what I got, no complaints here at all!
