when I used the h100i the corsair link was buggy and when you woke the pc from sleep it would disconnect from the software and then just stay white so even if you get it to work it may not be how you want it but yeah try updating drivers for your chipset.

I barely use Link. Anyway with the latest version of Corsair Link, there is no registry hack required. In fact, if you did one, reverse it, and try the software again. Be aware that it is recommended to removed the old version first, re-boot, than install and do another re-boot.

Have the H100i, running Windows 8.1, and the software is OK...

Edit: I had never heard of a reg edit, was it for just getting the program to install?

There was a reg edit tweak posted in the Corsair forums a while back to get the software to work for Windows 8/8.1. It would install, but wouldn't read anything without the hack. Since then that tweak is no longer needed with the subsequent releases. I used the hack myself, (just had to change a value from 1 to 0) but have since reverted back when they released their next revision. Since then all has been good with minor annoyances here and there but as I said, I rarely use it so it's a non issue for me. In fact I don't see what all the buzz is about the software.

I never said you needed the hack to install, I said you needed the hack to get it to work under Windows 8. Big difference

BTW its still installed and I have no sleep issues. On the other hand, I don't have it auto start when Windows starts, I only enable it when I use it, and that's only when I want to mess around with it.

Here comes the hard stuff...

My Computer is starting to become a never ending construction site...

I wasn't really happy with how out of place the tiny the old Pump & Res Config looked so I changed it into something more size appropriate to the entire setup with the added benefit of now being able to make actual use of two HDD Cages.

Actually... It was necessary to use both of them as the Config had to be mounted to them xD

Still not quite happy with the messy wiring but I've yet to find a shop that either has or ships cable clips ( without doubling or tripling the cost because of the shipping ).

I also decided to change the Primochill Advance LRT Tubing into EK-HD Tubing because of the kinking that was going on between the CPU and CPH Blocks - No matter what I wasn't able to prevent that and there's only so many possible routing configs possible to work with.

That was actually the first time I used HD Tubing and it was easier than I thought it would be.
For each bend I cut a cardboard template with the necessary angles, a rounded corner and some markings for the length - Worked like a charm with only the first bend getting slightly burnt but I used that one in an area not visible.

With the change of Tubing I also decided to add final touch of color by using Mayhems Paste Ice White in the System.

IMHO it goes really well with red sleeved cables and the color matched ROG SLI Bridge.

I also decided to buy and install a slightly modified 900D Motherboard Tray Cover, Midplate and a custom HDD Cage Backplate - The latter to which the Pump & Res Config is mounted to. The holes for the passthrough in the Motherboard Tray cover and Midplate aren't visible in this picture as I had to make them myself as I wasn't sure where I'd have to have them installed when I purchased the parts.

The Guys from Coldzero.eu were kind enough to make the necessary customizations to their stock Covers and Backplates.

While you are going through all that "trouble",why not giving your power cables a proper lacing?At least them bulky 8's and 24's...

I considered this technique once but then went against it mainly because I'm not expecting it to look very promising with the few amount of visible cable I have to show. I think it'll look a lot better when you have longer strands of cable showing.

But as I'm not in a hurry I'll just wait a little longer in hopes to find a store with reasonable shipping prices and if that's not going to happen I can still make them "myself" thanks to 3D Printing
