Here's a run down of my comp as it is....for now

...always strikes terror with the Mrs. when I use those 2 words after doing something to my toy lol.

Case~ Corsair 750D

CPU~ Intel Core i7 2700K@4.8GHz

CPU Cooler~ Corsair H100i with 4 Corsair SP 120mm in push-pull

Motherboard~ Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z

Memory~ Silicon Power 2400@2133 (2x8Gb) 10-11-10-28-1T...thought about trying for tighter timings but with Win8/8.1 not liking 2 BSOD's in a row I decided these were good enough lol

Video Card~ Diamond R9 290X with NZXT Kraken G10 using a Thermaltake Water 3.0 Performer and VRM and ram sinks from Gelid Icy Vision cooler

Power Supply~ Thermaltake TR2 RX 750W

SSD's~ Main OS and select games are on 2 Intel 520 120Gb in RAID0
Other games and apps on 2 OCZ Solid 3 60Gb in RAID0
Storage on 1 Western Digital 500Gb Black
Back-ups on another 500Gb WD Black

Headset~ Corsair 1500

Mouse~ R.A.T. 5

Keyboard~ Gigabyte Force K7

Monitor~ AOC 23" LED

I'm guessing there's a minimum post limit to attach so pics will follow eventually lol

Went through several sets of Turtle Beach Z6a's but after 5 RMA's due to the plastic cracking and eventually breaking above the earpiece I tried my wifes Corsair 1500's and went with those, holding up well a year later

Excellent choice of components,really clever drive setup,what temps do you get with that Kraken,if you dont mind asking?

Temps are much better compared to the stock cooler keeping everything at 94C lol. I added the Kraken G10 after I bought the Gelid Icy Vision Rev.2 and it didn't come with the proper heatsinks for either VRM's. Contacted Gelid about it and never heard anything back so I ordered the Kraken along with a Thermaltake Water 3.0 Performer. I contacted Gelid's North American distributor and they sent me the revision kit for the 290/290X, which is the sinks in the pic, and they fit perfectly. I just ran Heaven on the settings for the thread here and temps on core were 52C max, VRM1@67C, and VRM2@61C. Being I pretty much voided my warranty already I'm going to try a few more thing's I've found while poking around and see what kind of improvements I can manage.

Interesting combination and by the compatibility list i might give it a shot with a cheap h55 but let me get that straight,I do need them vram heatsinks aswell?

The Kraken G10 didn't come with any heatsinks, VRM or memory. Which is why I kept the Gelid. Not sure if they do now or not, but was only 2 months ago when I ordered mine.

Thanks, all up an goin, just gotta get new cables eventually so they all match. 750D was only case I could find that had 4 mounts like that and had to rummage through old cable drawer to find 4 cables with straight ends since none of my ones with 90's would work lol

Nice.. How's the bass/sub bass in those? I've been waiting on the new KG-300's by Klipsch to come out but they keep pushing it further in the year for the release date.. I want the surround sound but with decent sound not just for gaming but for general use as well. And I'm very picky when it comes to sound. It's gotta have the right frequencies, the best sub bass sounds, great mids, and crisp highs.. I guess it's because I used to mix a bit of music and got used to listening to all the frequencies.. I notice every frequency when I listen to music, it changed my music listening lifestyle lol

The Corsair 1500's are pretty good, not like an actual surround set-up but I can tell when someone is coming up from sides and behind me and explosions don't distort anything else going on. They absolutely kill the turtle beach set I had replaced so many times lol.
