Thanks gents!

The next thing I want to buy is a large SSD. I would love to put all of my Steam games on the SSD along with the OS and other software. Since I built that machine, which isn't that long ago, the price of 128GB drives has literally cut in half, so I'm hoping the prices of 750GB+ drives does the same over the next year. I'd love a 1TB Samsung Evo, but 500 quid for one is a bit rich for me right now!

I'm new here but I figured I'd introduce myself with my "rig" lol. No mods as I bought the tower in a pinch (lightning storm fried my old laptop and I only had $300 to spare), and when my friend offered me a super nice graphics card and some ram chips for free, nothing fit.

-HP 110 tower with an AMD E1 processor (h5p35aa#aba)
-Wireless Logitech mouse & keyboard
-Maxtor 250gb external HD
-Apex LED TV monitor connected via HDMI cable

I really only use it for college homework and movie watching so it does the job I guess :thumb:

Swapped my Thermaltake Bigwater 850GT with an EK H3O HFX 240mm Liquid Cooling Kit.


I thought that I have a large case, but somehow it's always a bit to small.


Will have to clean the air-filters still, as I did the whole mod straight after work within ~6 hours and ran out of time.


4700MHz @64-75 Celsius when running Prime95-x64 (max Heat etc.) and 28 Celsius when idle.

It's not too bad as long I / We don't play any games (~400 Watts idle for 2 complete setup's). I let our PC's run 24/7 and with a bit of AirCon etc. it's ~AU$500,- every 3 month for our power-bill, which is more than an average couple with 2 kids is using and we are only a couple.

If someone want's to go for the EK-Kit, then better measure your case. I had to force the radiator with fan's in, as my RAM was a bit in the way.

EK-CoolStream RAD XTX 240 is the highest performance radiator. Due to it's thickness of 64mm please make sure you computer chassis can accomodate it (EK also offers radiator holders for external mounting).
