Hey Joan, I know your a tech savy person but take a look here (not sure if you've tried this or not). It may help you...

low internal memory - HTC Wildfire S

Second post.

If you don't mind voiding warranty you could root it, remove boatware (titanium backup), and use app2sd. that may help a bit as well

I would have to say though, that if I couldn't have my Blackberry, the Samsung Galaxy S3 would be my second option. Third and final option would be Nokia Lumia. After that, I don't want a phone. :p

This thread brings back memory that makes me want to cry.

One time I went to a client's office to pick up some documents. Had my S3 on the dash holder to navigate with google maps. When I got there, I quickly got out of the car. Forgot to take the phone with me. Locked the door, though. Yeah, it was a questionable neighborhood in Chicago, but it would just be a few minutes. When I came back out, the phone was gone. My S3 was gone! Whoever took it knew how to factory reset the phone, because my anti-theft app never reported back after I activated it over the internet.

So, I'm now back to my old original S. Recently installed an ICS rom. Works, but not as satisfying as my S3. My poor poor S3. God knows what they are doing to it right now.

A ZTE T760 aka Telstra Smart Touch 2.

Only a cheap low-end Android with Gingerbread, but great value for the price (under A$100).
The 'bang-per-buck' factor is very good indeed, this phone's cheap but it definitely isn't rubbish.
It certainly does everything I want/need it to, reliably and without fuss.

The pic with the Koi wallpaper is of my actual phone.

Wenda.
