bcdedit /set increaseuserva 2500.

Tried this command because of Fallen Samurai Shogun 2 not working onmy windows 8 x64 enterprise. Says command not recognised.

So I tried. SFC /Scannow

Said the windows resource protection could not start the repair service.

So I checked services: Windows module installer. It was set to manual already. It was not running though. I pressed Run. And tried again SFC/scannow.

Didn't work..

What can I do now?

You need to run it in administrator command prompt.

Press Windows Key and the letter X to get a menu to pop up where you can choose it. :)

Thanks that seemed to do the trick! though its weird normally it works if I type cmd in run rightclick run as admin.. should be the same right. Or when I press windows key +R.

It said all files were Fine.

Now a different problem:
Windows update seems to be missing. I tried accesing it but it said service not running.

I checked in services.msc no windows update... also googled a bit the WUAsrv or something whatever its called is not running!! And it not present in registry...

What can I do?

Thanks alot btw.

What is this DISM btw?

Look at this picture:

The Modules thing should be on automatic or manual.

See this picture on how to find the Services window from control panel :

Start the service & try windows update.

This picture I got by services.msc (same thing) :

DISM usually fixes things sfc cannot fix.
Give it a try. :)

I don't think we understand each other? everything is working fine, the windows module service is like you said. But I have a new problem windows update service is missing! you recommend the same thing? DISM?

For the update service, besides DISM, try this tutorial link.

I figured running DISM might help.
It won't hurt.

Try the tutorial first if you wish. :)
