Solved "SETUP.EXE Has Stopped Working" W8 Error Message

SEE the next POST #2 please...

the problem was: "Setup.exe has stopped working".

I was trying to install new ASUS software for my motherboard using W8x64 Pro. When I attempt to run the Setup.exe file as an Administrator, or by double clicking the Setup.exe file itself, or used the 'RUN' window from the Start Page, I got the following Windows message: "Setup.exe has stopped working"...

At this time, I am at a loss as to what to do....
Have you run into this problem in the past?
Help will be appreciated.

Solved.
a strange solution to my problem was to:

1) uninstall Sound and Audio devices from Device Manager.
2) Install a audio driver file from ASUS and install it.
3) It appears uninstalling devices from the CP\DM did the trick..I don't know why

I install ASUS Audio driver *not the Realtek driver; then ran RUN as an administrator, and slid right thru my problem.
