I'm a Mac guy, and I'm setting up the computer for my Uncle and having trouble just trying to do a few things.
1. He has a comcast email address- is there any way to make the mail application accept it? He is used to using Outlook Express.
2. I tried to make a Hotmail account for him, thinking maybe it would be easier for the whole Windows 8 ecosystem. But now there are two users (the same name) that show up on his computer- the main one I made for him and the stupid Hotmail account, which is still not active. How do I delete this extra account that is linked to that Hotmail account I tried to create?? Its so annoying to have two of the same name show up on the screen.
3. After I noticed the Hotmail account creation failed, I tried again at creating a Windows account. This time it I put in his current comcast email address to create a Windows account. It made me create a new, annoying password with Caps and symbols (!@#$%^...) that is very confusing to remember for the elderly man that he is. Is there any way to unlink whatever I did so he can go back to using his simple one word password? He complains enough about having to put in a password at all (as his last XP computer didn't make him)- the upper-case and symbols BS is just gonna confuse him.
Thanks for the help!!!
