Hi All,

The “Send to: Mail recipient” right-click context menu doesn't work :(

I've checked under Control Panel/Default Programs and the Mail app appears to be the default. If I click a "mailto:" link in a web page in either version of IE10 it brings up the Mail app successfully, but if I right-click on a file and choose “Send to: Mail recipient” I get this error (see attachment).

Any clues?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Ed,

I get the same thing. It appears that the "MAILTO" protocol requires a desktop program and not a Store app like "Mail" even though Windows 8 let's you set the "Mail" app as the default program for "MAILTO". Odd.

Thanks, Brink. Good to know I'm not the only one.

Guess I'll go down to the post office and buy some stamps instead...;)
