Solved Screen Brightness Wont Change Windows 8.1

Hey, I never really noticed it before, but today when I was trying to save some battery on my laptop, I was trying to change the brightness down and it wouldn't work. I even tried using the hotkeys, which were also unresponsive to my commands. If anyone knows a fix to this, please tell me. Thanks!

Do your other hotkeys function? Have you clean installed Windows 8? If yes, you may have to download the driver pack from HP to get them working.

I bought this laptop from walmart new, and the other hotkeys are working, so I don't know what it could be. DO you think you can tell me where I can find these drivers from HP?

You have to go to the HP site and look for your model. But if it's new and you haven't done a "clean install" then that's no the problem. Have you tried looking through Power options in the control panel?

I am going to the Hewlett Packard website right now, but yes, I have tried changing the brightness through the power options.

Ok, thanks, it's working now. I updated my Intel Graphics driver.
