Solved Restoring Screen display settings

Hi! I extended laptop screen via hdmi cable to t.v. But the screen didn't extend and now the laptop is also not displaying anything. On switching it on in safe mode the screen display settings are not getting restored. Can anyone suggest the apt way to get the screen settings back?

Shift+F8 while starting the pc. Got the display back

Yep, Shift + F8 or Fn + F8. A quite common problem.
