Way to long, man. Is your Desktop BIOS or UEFI powered? If it's UEFI, go with secureboot and EFI install @ Windows 8.1. Plus go with some software for tweak the SSD. Download Samsung Magician and try again:)

Script says 163s.. ouch

Pretty much all startups disabled.

Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™i5 Quad Core Processor i5-3570 (3.4GHz) 6MB Cache
Motherboard ASUS® P8Z77-M: MICRO-ATX, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, ATI®CrossFireX
Memory (RAM) 8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (2 x 4GB KIT)
Graphics Card 2GB AMD RADEON™ HD7870 - DVI,HDMI,2 mDP - DX® 11, Eyefinity 4 Capable

2 years old, roughly. Any recommendations for cleaning this hunk'o'junk up? Or is that a reliable score/time.

Also, um, why is the script so much different from the event viewer, does event not take into account startup programs or something?

Edit: Done some tune-up stuff, scans, repairs, etc. Event says 76s, script says 151. Harumpf. Doing an sfc/ scan, but failed so now on DISM check/scan/restore and will retry.

Edit two: DISM found something iffy and fixed it, sfc /scannow ran and found nothing wrong. Disk cleanup in progress now. Woof, 40gb of previous windows installations.

Edit three: added my system specs

Faster Boot Time Resolution!

Dear Windude99

There are many different ways to speed up boot time.
Here is one of them:
1. First Open The "Task Manager"
2. Then Open The Start up tab on the top. If you don't have tabs click "More Details" on the bottom left corner
3. Then Disable All Non wanted Programs And That Should Help Out

Hoped This Helped

tripleR - that is the most disgusting windows boot time man.. don't even post that.. what piece of crap computer do yo have anyway? a 1998 windows 95 system? haha..

sorry man i just don't know why you would ever wait more than 20 seconds for a computer restart or to turn on.. even with today's crap cheap machines for $288 you'll get faster than that boot time.. I will even prove it when I open up a new toshiba laptop that was $300 from Walmart.. i bet it will turn on in 40 seconds or less.? i'll see..
