Really good experience at the Microsoft Store

Hey everyone.

I hate to sound all mushy and like a shill for this, but I had to go to my local Microsoft Store (Somerset Mall, Troy, Michigan) on Black Friday to exchange my Surface RT. It would no longer take a charge. But I have to say, the experience was very pleasant. I didn't have to wait very long, and they even gave me a Mountain Dew to drink while I waited. The associate I dealt with was very nice. The store was very clean and modern. Seems like both the left and right walls were one giant video screen, and lots of people were there playing with Xbox Ones and Surfaces and whatnot. I walked out with a replacement tablet, and I felt very happy with the customer service.

Was just wondering if anybody else here has had to go to the Microsoft Store, whether their experience was good or bad, etc.

Yes, it seems like the enthusiasm there was almost palpable. Both the Microsoft Store and the Apple Store seem like fun places to hang out.

Just had one open near me at West Edmonton Mall. This was their link for the grand opening West Edmonton Mall - Microsoft Grand Opening Celebrations. I'll have to check out now after reading this. Too bad I missed Black Friday tho.

Great to hear you had a great experience at the Microsoft Store. There is nothing mushy about describing a positive experience. I think it's important to describe positive experiences as well :D, instead of bashing everything and everyone .

Here in The Netherlands there are no Microsoft stores. But I had an experience with one. When I ordered the Surface Pro 2 I phoned with the sales department of Microsoft. For me that was the department in Ireland. And I must say.... I recognise your findings. The person I spoke to on the phone was very kind and very helpfull. It was byfar on of the best sales conversations I've had in years!

Greetz,

Recently when trying to purchase a new cell phone , I called their phone number.. got a really nice guy who helped me
buy what I wanted.. 3 days later I read new info..about the phone.. so called back.. to cancel my order..
they were just as nice the last time as they were when I placed my original order.
I plan to return when the phone I want cost me less, I'll purchase it then.
