Do you have any ideas why that is happening?
Have you contacted the software authors? I might do that!

I'll just bet that you could make some little change in your OS, to rectify that.

Good Luck,

The info you posted under "My Computer" is not telling us very much. Are you still running Windows 2000?

Hey Bob!
Have you found out anything yet?

I'd love to sit down at your keyboard for a while, and see if I couldn't improve your system performance some.
It's what I used to do for a living.

Let us know, if you've solved your problem.

PS: It's not common knowledge among PC users (not programmers) that to save space in their programs, many software writers will do calls on routines located within the system registry. Depending on how often they do that, and how slow the hard disk is, where those routines are located, performance can suffer.

Some Guru (not me) wrote a little script that will load the registry into system RAM on boot up, so any calls on the registry will be MUCH faster than from the HD. That is not so noticeable when the HD is actually an SSD.

I use that tweak when setting up any PC with a mechanical HD, and sufficient RAM.

Something like that may help you, if your HD is actually a spinner and not an SSD.
