Do you have any yellow exclamation marks in Device manager.
Maybe under other devices.

Tried to update...BSOD

No yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager. I tried to update the chipset drivers. Got thru 2, the Intel management engine interface driver and chipset driver, then started the latest Intel Thunderbolt driver. About half way in the laptop BSOD'd. Re-tried the Thunderbolt driver again & the same BSOD. This time I had no choice but to do a system restore in order to get into Windows. So don't no if this dump file has it recorded or not. I can't tell if the first 2 successful driver installs are still loaded or not. I have not installed the Intel dynamic platform and thermal framework driver or the rest yet. There are a total of 6 Alienware chipset drivers available 5 of which are updates from what I had installed originally.

Another new different BSOD.

I have not heard from Axe0 or anyone else for some time now. Does this mean no one is going to help me any more? I know this is a pain in the rump for anyone trying to help, but I don't know where else to go. Anyway, here is another BSOD, Memory Management this time.

I haven't forgotten it rogerw99, I'm just very busy with my study, have a few other RL issues and all together am unable to find time for analysis.

If necessary I will try to ask someone to step in to handle it.

I think I can call this one solved.

axe0, after much experimentation on my own & several new BSOD's I think I hit upon my problem. In almost every later BSOD instance, I had Firefox running. I also had dozen's of add-on's & dozens more of them installed, uninstalled, enabled & disabled etc... Some conflicted with others at times as well. I had come across a Firefox forum entry about something like this causing someone else getting many BSOD's for this same reason. They ended up resetting Firefox to a clean no add-on original state(done in Firefox settings) & their BSOD's stopped. I have done the same thing & have even gone as far as not using Firefox at all (temporarily) & switched to Chrome for a while until this proves successful. I have not had a BSOD since. I have now been BSOD free for 20 days. Previously, I never went more than 3 or 4 days without a BSOD. So it looks to me as if Firefox was the final problem/cause in addition to the previous driver & Dell software issues. Thank you for your assistance. I will call this solved now. If anything new arises, I will start a new thread. Again, thank you.
