Hi there

I have been having multiple BSOD recently on W8Pro x64 desktop.
It started with a message "Your PC ran into a problem" then "DPC_Watchdog_Violation" referenced at the end.

I thought it might be to do with Kingston V300 250GB SSD in the PC so I upgraded the firmware on it however the random BSOD still persists. I then updated the graphics card with latest drivers from website but issue still persist.

Today the blue screen was fuzzy (unreadable) when it happened.

I was wondering if someone could have a look through the logs attached and let me know if there is something else I'm missing.

Thanks
PCTS

The crashes are caused by a network security driver that is from Glasswire.
Driver Reference Table - gwdrv.sys
Do you have more then 1 security software installed?

@axe0 Thanks for your reply and analysis. Yes I use Glasswire to monitor my network connection, I have a windows firewall and Webroot AV security product installed on my machine. Do you recommend I remove Glasswire to resolve the issue?

Yes, I recommend that yes.
Glasswire is also a firewall program, having multiple protections software for the same thing causes trouble.

Hi there

Thanks for that. I will test the computer over the coming days. I haven't removed Glass wire yet but what I did do was uninstall the graphics card drivers and software and let Windows update install the latest one it had (which was a few months behind the manufacturer website). It appears to be working better so far. If I get any more crashes I will remove GlassWire and test it and will post back here.

Thanks for the assistance.

Kind Regards
PCTS
