Hi,

I had this trouble in windows 7, and now in windows 8, in that clicking quicklaunch >> initially comes up with a all white area ( instead of populated with icons and their app names). There are about 22 there, but should that cause a delay of about 30 or so seconds for list to be populated ?

I use this , because I don't like a cluttered desktop .

Thx anyone

If you had the problem in Windows 7, then it's probably related specifically to your hardware. Possibly the video driver or even the card may be faulty in some way. I notice you have an 8800gtx, those things get *HOT*. Are you sure you're not experiencing some kind of overheating problem?

In any event, no.. 22 apps should not cause this problem. But, running another kind of app in startup might. Try disabling all the startup items and see if the problem goes away. Then add them back until you find the culprit.
